Clarity over noise
PoliPedia is a political transparency platform in the spirit of Wikipedia and IMDb: structured profiles, readable summaries, and room for the public to improve the record.
The directory is the core product — searchable members of Congress with offices, party history, and links to primary sources. The quiz is the invitation: short and shareable, with matching that stays honest about what data it has.
Monetization is intentionally light. Banner placeholders in the header, sidebar, and footer keep the product sustainable without turning every page into an ad stack.
How trust works
- Sourced records for names, offices, parties, and terms cover 1774–present: U.S. Congress (1789–) from unitedstates/congress-legislators, and Continental/Confederation Congress delegates from the Biographical Directory of Congress.
- Withheld until sourced — issue scores, belief tags, career headlines, and key votes are not invented from party labels.
- User suggestions enter a moderation queue and are not silently mixed into verified data.
